More larger-than 50x50 sprite practice. This time, it's a capriciously colored counterpart of some free line art I found while idling around pixiv here:[link]
Simply focusing on colors, light, and shadow, without worrying about line art, gave me a chance to experiment, mess around, and have fun with the color scheme; granted, it took a heap of restraint to keep me from editing some parts of the lines. It's pretty nice, I'd say.
However, the way you did the shading on the ghost-half (agh, I forgot what its fan-name is...) doesn't look right. First off, I'm not sure the darkest shade was necessary. Second, because of that darkest shade and how you used it for a lot of AA, several parts of the lineart have REALLY jagged edges. That said, the lighter shades look really nice.
